Georgia College Theatre and Dance Department presents on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 23-24 “Aesop’s Fables Redux,” a fresh and heartwarming senior capstone production, directed by Haley Fusia, which will be at 6 p.m. in the Campus Box Theatre. Aesop was a slave and storyteller believed to have lived in Ancient Greece. He authored a collection of short stories with moral lessons for children.
In “Aesop’s Fables Redux” by Susan Pennington, a narrator helps children understand famous expressions by exploring Aesop’s fables. Human and animal characters bring fables like “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” and “The Goose That Laid the Golden Egg” to life. The free play will be performed on tour in local schools and hospitals as well. For more information, please call 478-445-4226.
