Community Training Event for Baldwin County Schools

Do you want to volunteer in Baldwin County Schools? Do you need service hours for a school organization or class? or... Do you love children and want to give back to your community and local schools?

Communities in Schools is hosting a community training event for anyone wanting to volunteer in the school system. There are two, 30 minute training sessions today at 8:30 a.m. and at 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room at the Baldwin County Board of Education Office, 110 North ABC Street. Please bring your license and paperwork for a background check. We look forward to seeing you.

The mission of Communities in Schools of Baldwin County, managed and supported through a written agreement with Georgia College, is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. By bringing caring adults into the schools to address children's unmet needs, CIS provides the link between educators and the community. The result: teachers are free to teach, and students - many in jeopardy of dropping out - have the opportunity to focus on learning.
