Dr. Catrena Lisse chosen to present at the World Congress of Smart Materials Conference in Osaka, Japan

We are so proud of our very own Dr. Catrena Lisse for being selected as a Guest Speaker for the 2018 World Congress of Smart Materials in Osaka, Japan! She will be traveling to Osaka, Japan during the week of March 3-10, 2018, along with two of her research students; Melanie Schellman (Georgia College Junior, Chemistry major) and Alexis Roberson (2017 Project SEED recipient & Baldwin High School senior) that will be presenting their research. Dr. Lisse is the only female panel member that was selected to speak at the session entitled "Characterization Properties and Function of Smart Materials."  We could not think of anyone better to represent Georgia College! Dr. Lisse is the Director of the Science Education Center and Professor of Chemistry in the Dept. of Chemistry, Physics & Astronomy at Georgia College.
