Georgia College hosts first Graduate Research Poster Exhibit & Competition

A celebration highlighting graduate student research took place last week in coordination with Graduate & Professional Student Week.

The 1st Annual Graduate Research Poster Exhibit and Competition gave graduate students the opportunity to showcase their research for the campus community. Thirteen posters were on display in the library. Presenting students were from the master programs in biology, criminal justice and English.

The Office of Graduate Studies also hosted an awards competition for presenters with faculty judging the submissions. The winners are announced during the Alumni & Graduate Student Networking Reception Thursday, April 26. They are:

  • 1st Place – Tina Smith, Master of Science in Biology
  • 2nd Place – Kori Ogletree , Master of Science in Biology
  • 3rd Place – Yingfan Wang, Master of Science in Biology
  • Honorable Mention – Calabria Turner, Master of Arts in English
