Last call for singers for Carnegie Hall and spring 2018 Max Noah Singers

Max Noah Singers (MNS) is a choral organization made up of select singers with an emphasis on the study and performance of a variety of literature from madrigals and motets to the avant garde. MNS is open by audition to all members of the university community, including faculty and staff. MNS will travel to New York City to sing at Carnegie Hall next May. More information about the trip may be found here.

MNS rehearse three times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12-12:50 p.m., in Porter 304.

Auditions for the group for next spring semester and the Carnegie trip are today, and you may sign up for a time here. The audition will begin with vocalization, then proceed to singing one's choice of parts in "I Can Tell the World" with the other parts played. Each auditionee will be rated on the following categories: pitch, rhythm, voice quality and ability to stay on part. The score and part tracks may be found here.

Callbacks will be today, 12-1 p.m., at which time Dr. Flory will listen to small groups of singers sing the assigned choral song a cappella. If you have not been in a GC Choral Ensemble, you will also need a reference from a past choir director. Please enter your director's email address in the comment, and I will send them the form.
