Project Lit

Today kicks off the start of Project Lit.  Tabling will ensue from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays, November 12 and 19. Additional collection times include: Thursdays, November 14 and 21. (Times upon request.) Project Lit's prime purpose is to create awareness of the continuous legal disposal of hazardous wastes. Consumers should be properly trained on how to disassemble and where to recycle lighter parts. All collected lighters will be cleaned and transformed into an art installation for the college. Excess recyclables will be collected, weighed and sold as recyclable materials to an environmental disposal company. Proceeds of the project will be donated to Dr. Mutiti's Kabwe project. Project Lit's main focus is protecting the environment from hazardous waste; while embodying waste as art. Please feel free to contact Project Organizer Lillian Jandrlich for any additional information, concerns, or pick-up request at:
