Reminder: "Big Read' Community Photography Workshop

Join Emily Gomez, Professor of Art, and GC Senior Art Majors Claire Tadeo and Jordan Tollison on Saturday, October 20 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for a book discussion and group presentation of participants' photographs and conversation about motivations for making the photographs as they relate to our Big Read selection, "Silver Sparrow," by Tayari Jones. Participants will learn basic photo editing techniques in Photoshop and have the opportunity to display their best photograph within an online gallery. Note: Workshop participants will need to bring digital photographs inspired by the themes, symbols, and imagery presented in "Silver Sparrow." The digital files should be on a memory card or a USB jump drive. If the photographs were made on your phone, bring the cable necessary to transfer the images to a computer.
