Reminder: OneUSG Blackout Begins Tomorrow

Reminder: OneUSG Blackout begins tomorrow, Friday, December 7th

As December is now upon us, we would like to remind you that in preparation for the upcoming OneUSG Connect PeopleSoft data conversion for Cohort 4 USG institutions, Georgia College will be impacted by two blackout periods.  During the following blackout periods, we cannot enter any data (e.g. new hires, terminations, transfers, salary changes, etc.).

  • Friday, Dec. 7 – Wednesday, Dec. 12
  • Friday, Dec. 21 – Wednesday, Dec. 26

In order to ensure timely processing of employment actions prior to these blackout periods, we have made revisions to the staff (bi-weekly) and student matrixes.  All documents related to hiring and processing other employment transactions must be received by the Office of Human Resources in accordance with the dates listed on the corresponding hiring matrix.  These blackout periods do not impact the monthly hiring matrix. For your convenience, we have attached a copy of the staff (bi-weekly), staff (monthly) and student matrices.

Bi-weekly time must be entered and approved by the following dates during November and December:

  • Thursday, Nov. 15 for payment on Nov. 23
  • Friday, Nov. 30 for payment Dec. 7
  • Friday, Dec. 14 for payment Dec. 21
  • Wednesday, Dec. 19 for payment Jan. 4

Bi-weekly Payroll will process on Nov. 16 and 19, Dec. 3 and 4, Dec. 16 and 19, and Dec. 29 and 30.

Monthly time must be entered and approved by the following dates during November and December:

  • Nov. 20 for payment on Nov. 30
  • Dec. 18 for payment on Dec. 31

Monthly Payroll will process on Nov. 21, 26, and 27 and Dec. 19 and 20.

During these timeframes, please contact the Office of Human Resources at 478-445-5596 or Payroll Services at  You may also email questions to
