This spring’s Music Theatre Scenes show, “Virtue and Vice,” will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, in the Max Noah Recital Hall. The program features the Georgia College Music Theatre Scenes class performing numbers from classic and contemporary musicals. Fairytale characters such as Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood will come to life in Stephen Sondheim’s “Into the Woods;” a classic battle between good and evil will play out in Frank Wildhorn’s gothic musical “Jekyll & Hyde,” gamblers will win at dice and fall in love in Frank Loesser’s “Guys and Dolls,” and teen romance will blossom in Marc Shaiman’s “Hairspray.”
Admission is free, but a $5 donation is encouraged. All proceeds benefit music scholarships or the GC Department of Music through GCSU Foundation, Inc. For more information, please call 478-445-8289.
