Spanish/Hispanic Film Festival Week

What better way to enjoy your evening than watching a good movie. Join us beginning Monday, October 22 through Thursday October 25 at 6:30 pm and Friday October 26 at 3:00 pm in A&S 272. The movies are great and refreshments will be served. Here is a list of the movies that will be shown.

October 22

Black Bread - This film is set in the war-ravaged Catalan countryside of the early 1940's where a local man is accused of murder and his son sets out to find the truth.

October 23

The Liberator - This film depicts the impassioned struggle of revolutionary leader Simon Bolivar's fight for independence in Latin America from Spain and his vision of a united South American nation.

October 24

The Queen of Spain - The setting for this film is in the 1950's in Madrid were Isabella I of Castile meets up with her old friends and colleagues from the troupe but she must contend with another dictatorial regime: that of Francisco Franco.

October 25

Red Gringo - This film follows North American singer Dean Reed's surprising and unlikely political transformation after learning of the brutality and repression of U.S. supported regimes in South America.

October 26 (3:00 pm)

The Future Perfect - This whimsical romantic comedy movie is about fractured relationships within culture, tradition and language.
