As you prepare your syllabi for fall semester, consider including a Study Abroad presentation led by a GC Study Abroad advisor or someone from the International Education Center. Whether for 10 minutes or an hour, we are happy to present on study abroad and other international opportunities available to GC students. A visit from our staff will help your students understand the experience of study abroad and how to make it happen, provide them with information about our campus organizations and activities (like the International Club, the International Plan, the International Studies minor, etc.), and steer them to other resources.
Based on your students' academic focus, we will gear the presentation toward your particular group of students, highlighting opportunities that would be most applicable to them.
Other upcoming opportunities for students:
Study Abroad Info Sessions for students will be held starting the second week of classes, every Monday - Thursday at 2 p.m. in the International Education Center, located in the historic Bone House across from the Old Governor's Mansion on South Clarke Street. No appointment is needed. Students can stop by on whatever day is convenient for them. Please tell your students.
International Education Center Open House will be 1-4 p.m. on Friday, August 23. Students can drop by to learn about study abroad and other international program options, meet our staff, and enjoy light refreshments.
