Water Shut off - Chappell Hall and MSU

This Friday, May 19, the City of Milledgeville will replace the failing water meter feeding Chappell Hall. In order to do so, the water to Chappell Hall will be off for up to four hours. The shutdown will begin at 1 p.m. The shutdown time may be shorter if all goes well. Unfortunately, turning the water off at Chappell Hall also shuts MSU off as they share the same water main. This will affect the fire protection in MSU and Parks Hall, but not the domestic water in Parks Hall. Restroom facilities in Russell LITC or Parks Hall will remain operational in case the need arises.

Once the water is restored, staff in facilities operations will check and flush lines in each building. Water could be stained hours after the shutdown. If you encounter stained water, continue to flush the lines until clear.

Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
