For siblings Ryan and Morgan Harris, their first year at Georgia College will be spent experiencing college life to its fullest.
“I just want to get here and see what’s on campus,” said Morgan about getting involved with activities and organizations.
The duo is traversing their first year of college together, but they’re usually part of a trio as they represent only two in a set of triplets. Their brother is attending college out of state with a wrestling scholarship, while the two incoming Bobcats felt a draw to Georgia College.
“We toured other colleges, but we really liked the feel of Georgia College,” said Ryan. “We’re from Social Circle and so we really wanted something that was a smaller.”
Coming into college, the brother and sister already know what they’ll be studying.
“I was in a dual enrollment program, and I took intro to psychology and really liked it,” said Morgan.
Considering his love of numbers, Ryan chose to pursue accounting. The first-year also says he plans to rush a fraternity.
Kathy and Parks Harris, the sibling’s mother and father, said they feel the choice to attend GC was right for the two.
“When we toured the campus they both seemed to like it and we thought it was an all-around good fit for them,” said Parks. “They’re comfortable here and have a lot of friends from home to be with.”
Kathy says she’s happy the two will be able to experience college life together.
“We’re exited for them and the experiences they’ll have,” said Kathy. “And that they’ll be here together to experience it.”
