Georgia College receives regional and national recognition for programs

With spring semester just ending, Georgia College continues to receive recognition for its programs, departments and educational offerings.

The university was ranked eighth in a SmartAsset's Best Value Colleges study. The ranking is based on the university’s performance in categories including scholarships provision, starting salary, tuition, living costs and retention rate.

Best College Values ranked GC at the top of its list for Most Affordable Online Master's Degrees in Supply Chain or Operations Management. The university was also mentioned for possessing one of the most affordable online master’s degree programs in Public Administration for 2016, ranking fifth in the nation, by the website Grad School Hub.

Best College Values denoted GC ninth in its Top 10 Most Affordable Online Master's Degrees in Nursing list. The bachelor, master and doctoral nursing programs are also listed 20th in OnlineU’s 2016 Most Affordable Online Colleges and Degrees.

In addition to its rankings for affordability, GC’s nursing program is ranked fifth in the nation for the 2016 Best Online Bachelor of Nursing programs, according to College Choice.

The Georgia WebMBA Program is currently ranked 12th in the world and fifth in North America based on the 2016 Global Online MBA Rankings from CEO Magazine. The program allows professionals to earn an MBA completely online without interrupting their work and personal lives. Georgia WebMBA®  is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the premier accrediting body for business degree programs. The Georgia WebMBA® program is offered by six University System of Georgia schools − Columbus State University, Georgia College, Georgia Southern University, Kennesaw State University, University of West Georgia and Valdosta State. 

The U.S. News & World Report 2016 “Best Online Programs” rankings recognized several Georgia College programs as well. Jumping 10 spots from last year, the Georgia College online graduate nursing programs were ranked eighth in the country— tied with University of Cincinnati. Georgia College’s online graduate nursing programs were the highest ranking in the state. The online Master of Business Administration (Georgia WebMBA® at Georgia College) was also recognized as the highest-ranking state university, ranking 22nd nationally and tied with four other universities. The online graduate business programs at Georgia College, excluding the MBA, were listed as the 33rd, tied with several other schools including Georgia Southern University. U.S. News & World Report also recognized the online bachelor’s degree offerings at Georgia College ranking them 49th best in the nation and tied with several other schools.
