EarthFest

Apr 22 2015 - 11:00am to 8:00pm
Location:
Front Campus

The harmony that sustainability grants to our planet gives GC a reason to celebrate.

GC’s Environmental Science Club will soon leave a green imprint on front campus soil with its hosting of EarthFest.

“EarthFest is awesome,” said senior environmental science major, Wesley Randall. “Last year it rained, but everyone still had a blast listening to bands and involving themselves in. Rain or shine, we’ll be out there goofing around and learning about the Earth.”

EarthFest is a day to promote and commemorate sustainability across campus and the Milledgeville community. All attendees are welcome free of charge to participate in the festivities.

The festival will provide live music and enrich attendees with numerous sustainable activities. These activities encompass yoga, arts and crafts, a drum circle and earthball.

Multiple green organizations are tabling at the event including: Keep Milledgeville-Baldwin Beautiful, Green Initiative, GC Leaf Living, Live Healthy Baldwin, Oconee River Greenway and many others.
