Monday, Oct. 7- “Fauré à la mode,” with guest pianist Namji Kim, will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Max Noah Recital Hall. The concert features 13 Barcarolles by French composer Gabriel Fauré. A leading songwriter in France in the 1800s, Fauré’s style greatly influenced 20th-century music. Kim is a professor of piano at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a prizewinning pianist, who has performed worldwide. She is releasing a CD in 2020 of Fauré’s 13 Barcarolles, sponsored by Centaur Records. A $10 donation is encouraged.
