Safe Space Training

Jun 26 2018 - 9:00am to 12:00pm
The HUB @ Blackbridge Hall

The LGBTQ+ Center has scheduled a summer Safe Space training date for Tuesday, June 26 from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration is required.

Safe Space training aims to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ identities; equip participants with knowledge of LGBTQ+ language and concepts; and teach participants how to effectively support LGBTQ+ individuals and communities.

Members of the GC community who are Safe Space trained are committed to being welcoming and supportive of LGBTQ+ people and their allies. Participants who complete the training receive a Safe Space card to be displayed that identifies them as an LGBTQ+-affirming individual on campus.

You can RSVP here: Registration will be capped at 15 participants.
