Monday, Nov. 20 “Small Ensembles” – an assembly of Georgia College’s Brass, Low-Brass and Saxophone Ensembles with Chamber Flutes and the String Quartet – will perform at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall. A variety of moods and style will be reflected in music from the 1500s to today like Renaissance, romantic, folk and ragtime. Enjoy songs like Thomas Morley’s “My Bonnie Lass,” Aaron Copland’s “Bride’s Solo,” William Levi’s “Flute Flirtation” and Aleksandr Borodin’s “String Quartet No. 2 in D major.” The saxophone ensemble will play Arthur Frackenpohl’s “Sad Rag” and “Glad Rag.” A $5 donation is encouraged.
