The John H. Lounsbury College of Education will host its first annual State of Middle Georgia Schools Symposium at 6 p.m. in the Magnolia Ballroom at the Student Activities Center. Three core areas will be addressed: positive news and achievements in each district; trends in the region or educational trends impacting each district; and best regional practices for preparing students to succeed after graduation. Superintendents from Baldwin, Jasper, Putnam, Washington and Wilkinson are participating, along with moderator Dr. Hayward Cordy, executive director of the Oconee RESA (Regional Educational Service Agency).
