“Variety is the Spice of Life” will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Max Noah Recital Hall Thursday, Oct. 12. This solo piano program features ballades, nocturnes and other intimate piano works by composers such as Franz Schubert, Frédéric Chopin and Johannes Brahms. Known for his “nimble, lucid finger work,” award-winning guest pianist Gregory Sioles has performed on three continents. Sioles is an associate professor at Louisiana State University and has played at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C., London’s Purcell Room and the Shanghai Conservatory. A $10 donation is encouraged. All proceeds benefit music scholarships or the GC Department of Music through the GCSU Foundation, Inc.
