Six Georgia College students participate in summer REUs throughout U.S.

Six Georgia College students and one faculty member were selected for Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs) with stipends through the National Science Foundation (NSF). This summer, they’ll participate in research for biology, mathematics, chemistry and physics at universities across the United States.

Georgia College biology students make unique discoveries

Three biology students at Georgia College have discovered new bacteriophages – tiny viruses that attack and contaminate bacteria. Two findings could someday lead to treatments for tuberculosis and a rare infection in patients with long-term catheters.
