Daily Digest debuts new look

Does the Daily Digest seem different today?

With the new school year, comes a new look for Georgia College & State University’s daily email newsletter.

The Office of University Communications is updating the Daily Digest to feature a fresh design and a cleaner interface based on responses to a campus survey conducted in Spring 2022. Audience members asked for a more graphically-engaging newsletter reflecting the educational environment Georgia College fosters on campus.

The new color scheme ties the Daily Digest back visually to the Front Page website. The new organizational structure is meant to help readers find the information they want by connecting announcements back to the departments that submitted the content. Reminder notices will now get featured in a standalone section.

“It’s meant to be more engaging and less rigid or institutional,” Director of Web Communications Keely Hopkins said. “We want it to be a little more fun as a way to engage with students, faculty and staff.”

University Communications is always looking for new and improved ways of sharing Georgia College & State University’s story with all its stakeholders. If you have a story you’d like to share or an idea for reaching a wider audience, please contact Interim Director of Public Affairs Daniel McDonald at daniel.mcdonald@gcsu.edu or by calling 478.445.1934.

University Communications launched the Daily Digest on June 10, 2014. News of the day included Dr. Jude Hirsch and Dr. Lee Gillis presenting research in the Czech Republic and summer hours for the Writing Center.
