The Center for Teaching and Learning partnering with the Writing Center will be putting on a workshop/panel discussion—ChatGPT: What Is It, and What Can It Do? The panel features: Dr. Cynthia Alby (Professor of Education), Dr. Joy Bracewell (Director of the Writing Center), Dr. Elissa Auerbach (Professor of Art History), Dr. Ward Risvold (Lecturer of Business Communication), and Dr. Nate Kreuter, Director of First Year Writing at the University of Georgia. The panel will focus on the following: 1. What ChatGPT is and what it can do, 2. how it can be used in higher education, 3. ways to modify or shift our instruction to improve our students' learning and avoid misuse by our students.
