Political Science professor Dr. Steven Elliott-Gower has been recently incorporating the Council for Foreign Relations’ Model Diplomacy national security role-playing simulations in his classes. In a 2020 article published in the peer-reviewed journal Honors in Practice, he concluded, “The crisis scenarios, the applied research, the discussions, the role-playing, the teamwork, and the in-class and written reflections made for a successful, engaging, and high-impact honors class.” The article was tweeted by the Council for Foreign Relations, one of the world’s oldest and most respected foreign affairs think tanks, signaling Georgia College’s commitment to high-impact teaching and learning.
