GC Women’s Tennis Brings in Team Academic Award from ITA

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) recently announced its year-end academic awards, with Georgia College Women's Tennis once again taking a spot on the list of ITA All-Academic Teams for a whopping seventh-straight season.

The Bobcats were impressive with a 3.29 GPA for the spring, putting three student-athletes on the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Team of Academic Distinction.

"I am very proud of the way our team competes on the court and in the classroom," said head coach Steve Barsby. "Success both on and off the court has become a normal operation and this team has continued that success even with all the adversity they faced during the season."

This marks the seventh-straight season for GC Women's Tennis to earn this academic honor. The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale).

The Bobcats are one of six PBC schools to make this list.
