The Plight of Pervis Payne, Elizabeth Swanson, Babson College

Elizabeth Swanson is the Mandell Family Foundation Senior Term Chair in Literature and Human Rights at Babson College and the author of Beyond Terror: Gender, Narrative, Human Rights (2007). An antislavery and social justice entrepreneur, she will speak about the plight of Pervis Payne, an African-American with an intellectual disability who is scheduled for execution in Tennessee in December.
