Homecoming Be The Match Event

Homecoming Be The Match Event

The GIVE Center has partnered with Be The Match to have a campus wide service project during Homecoming Week. On Tuesday April 20th and Wednesday April 21st, from 9am-3pm, the GIVE Center will be setting up stations by A&S, Front Campus, West Campus, and the Reflection Pool by the dorms to give students, staff, and faculty the opportunity to participate in becoming potential donors. Volunteers will be able to swab themselves in the mouth and place their package in a box that will be sent to Be The Match. Volunteers will also be given the chance to join the Be The Match registry for stem cell donations.

Be The Match is operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, a national nonprofit fighting to help patients diagnosed with life threatening blood cancers. Be The Match is the largest registry of potential donors and collection of blood stem cells for those in need of transplants. Come by these locations to participate in this great service opportunity and earn a service hour as well as free stuff! Participation is limited to ages 18-44.
