Tunes from the Trail: A Constitution Week Concert

Monday, Sept. 20 As part of Georgia College’s annual “Constitution Week,” a lively production of political campaign music will be presented at 6 p.m. in Magnolia Ballroom. “Tunes from the Trail: A program featuring music from U.S. Presidential Campaigns, 1840-1964” will showcase well-known campaign songs like “Tippecanoe and Tyler Too,” “I’m Just Wild About Harry” and “Hello Lyndon.” Trax on the Trail, a website co-founded by faculty member Dr. Dana Gorzelany-Mostak, is hosting this concert along with the Constitution Week Committee. Student performers include sopranos Sophia Clark and Erin Lamb and Tyler Harris, tenor. Dr. Jennifer Flory will conduct the Max Noah Singers and faculty member Lev Ryabinin will accompany on piano. A $5 donation is encouraged. This concert will also be livestreamed on facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment.
