Constitution Day Welcome & Debate
Provost Costas Spirou will kick off Georgia College's Celebration of Constitution Week (Sept. 17-23) and Constitution Day (Sept. 17) with an official welcome followed by a structured student debate in the Old Governor's Mansion Education Room at noon on Friday, Sept. 17.
Constitution Week Events:
Monday, Sept. 20: Join a lunch discussion about free speech and social media in Terrell Hall 301 at noon. That evening, the Department of Music will present a Trax on the Trail Concert at 6 pm in Magnolia Ballroom.
Tuesday, Sept. 21: Meet at the HUB at noon for a discussion on the US Constitution and immigration. The Usery Forum on Leadership is that evening in Peabody at 5 pm.
Wednesday, Sept. 22: An online Times Talk will take place at noon regarding Native American treaties, and an all-star panel will convene at 6 pm that evening in the A&S Auditorium to discuss COVID & The Health of Democracy.
Thursday, Sept. 23: The week concludes with an online session on abortion at noon and the Supreme Court Review panel that evening at 6 pm in the A&S Auditorium.
