Summer Schedule Announcement

The University System of Georgia (USG) recently reminded USG campus leadership teams that all campuses throughout the system are expected to maintain normal business hours during summer months, consistent with other state entities. This directive applies to all USG institutions, including those like GCSU that had previously implemented alternative summer schedules. GCSU begins its alternate summer schedule today, Monday, May 12; however, GCSU will assure that all of its campus offices are appropriately covered between standard business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to fulfill our mission of serving students and families effectively throughout the summer months. To facilitate these service responsibilities, vice presidents have communicated specific coverage requirements to their respective divisions. All departments are expected to coordinate staffing arrangements that ensure appropriate office coverage during the standard office hours and will work with staff to accommodate previously approved summer work schedules where possible.
