The Academic Advising Center is Here to Help You!

The Academic Advising Center is open!  Professional Academic Advisors are available Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm by e-mail or phone. Advisors are providing assistance and support to our students via scheduled remote advising sessions. Advisors will be happy to address your questions and concerns about registration, waiting lists, major exploration, and so forth.  You may “Schedule an Appointment” with an Academic Advisor via that link in Unify. The center is offering “drop-in” hours as well in the AAC’s WebEx Chat Room at gcsu.webex.com/meet/gcsu.advising. Student Rating of Instruction Survey (SRIS): May Term 2020

The Student Ratings of Instruction (SRIS) survey is now open and available for students to complete through June 3. Please encourage your students to complete the Student Rating of Instruction (SRIS) survey. We need a 65% completion rate for usable data. To locate updates to your class response rate, log in to Campus Labs using your Unify credentials.Research and best practice consistently show the single greatest factor to increase participation in online student rating surveys is for faculty to express and demonstrate how the results are important and used in making meaningful change. The next most influential factor is to set aside time during studies to complete the surveys.We understand time to complete coursework can be limited. REMINDER: QPR Training

The Zero Suicide Team hopes to have every person on campus trained in QPR. Why, because we can all save lives. The QPR mission is to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing innovative, practical and proven suicide prevention training. The signs of crisis are all around us. We believe that quality education empowers all people, regardless of their background, to make a positive difference in the life of someone they know. Please take some time out of your schedule to attend this 90 minute training through Webex.
