READ MORE Seeking Faculty Facilitators for the 2020 GCReads First-Year Reading InitiativeDear GC Faculty:
We are gearing up for the 2020 GCReads First-Year Reading Initiative. This year, the overwhelming majority of Week of Welcome programming will housed virtually in asynchronous sessions in GAView. Whereas, in previous years, campus onboarding previously involved gathering large groups of students together, this year it will occur largely online. GCReads will be one of the only Week of Welcome sessions held synchronously with in-person and online options.
GCReads can only succeed with your help. We recognize that this is a particularly challenging year to ask for your additional help and support, however, we believe GCReads will truly make a difference for our students and help mitigate the stress and uncertainty they too are experiencing as we head into the fall semester.
Faculty consistently rate the experience as “excellent” or “good” and students describe GCReads as a “good introduction to college.” Because of the outstanding success of GCReads, we believe it will serve as a valuable introduction to the college classroom experience this fall. READ MORE REMINDER: Parking Permit RegistrationRegistration for 2020-2021 parking permits is now open.
To purchase or register for a 2020 parking permit, please visit https://georgiacollege.aimsparking.com and click “Order Permit”. As a reminder, those with Extended Employee (EE) permits do not have to register for a new permit each year. EE permits automatically renew at the beginning of each year and remain active until cancelled.
To maintain social distancing guidelines, Parking and Transportation Services will deliver employee permits via intercampus mail. When you register online, you will receive a printable temporary permit that you may use until you receive your regular permit.
