Request a Mass Communication Practicum Student

Does your department or office need assistance with communication, promotion or publicity?  A Mass Comm practicum student could help! Students in MSCM 2930 can assist on-campus departments and offices with a range of communication projects including:  graphic design, short-form videography, digital media management including website content and social media channels, copy writing for blogs and press releases, and much more.  (Please remember that communication products must be approved by University Communications prior to distribution.)

Mass Comm practicum students complete 45-60 hours for a 1.0 course credit.  All practicums must be completed on campus and supervised by a Georgia College faculty or staff member.  Fall practicum requests are due by COB Friday, August 5, 2020.

Show us your Face Mask and win a Georgia College prize pack!

We want to see your face masks! We're looking for creative, fun masks that show your school spirit, creativity, and/or individual style. While we wear masks to Be Reasonable, Respectful, and Responsible to others, we can also wear them to showcase our individual styles!

From Aug. 1 - Aug. 28, either share your photo online by using the hashtag #BobcatsWearMasks (please make sure your profile is set to public) or email your original photo submission to bobcatmasks@gcsu.edu. Our panel of judges will score submissions based on the originality of the entrants’ photos, originality of the entrants’ masks, and creatively of the entrants’ masks. A grand prize winner will be selected to win a Georgia College prize pack courtesy of Barnes & Noble at Georgia College that features GC swag including a throw ...

Safe Return to Camus Mandatory Training 

As faculty, staff and student workers start to return to campus, Georgia College is requiring each employee to complete the new Safe Return to Work training. The training is located in GA View; the employee will need to login into Unify, then log into GA View using their Unify credentials. Please follow the steps below.  The training must be completed prior to or on the day or return to campus. 

Please complete the “Safe Return to Campus Training” by using the following steps, if you have not done so already.

  • Login to UNIFY. Click on the “GeorgiaView” tile on the main screen. Scroll down the page to “My Courses” and click on the “Safe Return to Campus Training."

Parking Permit Registration

Please remember, parking will be strictly enforced at the start of the semester.  Faculty, staff and students who park on campus will need to have a valid 2020-2021 parking permit.

To purchase or register for a 2020 parking permit, please visit https://georgiacollege.aimsparking.com and click “Order Permit”.  As a reminder, those with Extended Employee (EE) permits do not have to register for a new permit each year.  EE permits automatically renew at the beginning of each year and remain active until cancelled.

To maintain social distancing guidelines, Parking and Transportation Services will deliver employee permits via intercampus mail.  When you register online, you will receive a printable temporary permit that you may use until you receive your regular permit.

REMINDER: Rural Education in Times of COVID
