Extended hours, walk-ins welcome for free single-dose COVID-19 vaccination clinic today

No appointment is necessary for today's free COVIID-19 vaccination clinic. Student Health Services has also extended the hours to 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

At this clinic, the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) single-dose vaccine will be administered.

The clinic is open to our entire campus community. You can still register at https://gcsu.medicatconnect.com/default.aspx.

Once you register, you must also complete this form and bring it with you to the appointment. You can also complete the form when you arrive for your vaccination.

The clinic will be held at the Wellness Center on West Campus. When you turn off West Campus Drive to Village Loop, follow the road around to parking lot #30. Public Safety and Student Health Services personnel will direct you to the north entrance of the Wellness Center to check-in....

Reminder: The Graduate School Spring Annual Reception

Each spring The Graduate School holds its annual reception to recognize the accomplishments of Georgia College graduate students and campus partners who have supported their efforts. Winners of the Fourth Annual Graduate Research Poster Exhibit and Competition, Outstanding Graduate Assistant Award, the Graduate Student Appreciation Prize Drawing, and the recipient of a Graduate Research Travel Grant will be announced during the event. Family and friends are welcome to attend. The event will be delivered virtually today at 6 p.m.  Keynote Speaker: Dr. Holley Roberts, Interim Associate Provost for Academic Affairs & Director of The Graduate School.

Russell Library: Summer and Fall material requests due date

As the spring semester comes to a close, the Russell Library would like to remind faculty to submit any material requests for the upcoming summer and fall 2021 semesters. 


Faculty who need to request materials (e.g., streaming media, books, e-books) for Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 courses are encouraged to submit their requests by April 30, 2021. This will allow the library to source the items and make them available by the beginning of the semester they are needed. Use our online request form or contact the library at ask@gcsu.libanswers.com for more information and assistance.

Help GC Students: Donate to the Student Support Drive

Do you have cans of soup or boxes of pasta that have been sitting in your pantry? Do you have gently-used clothing that you never wear anymore taking up space in your closet? If so, you should donate to the Student Support Drive!

The Office of Sustainability, the Student Government Association, Swipe Out Hunger, and the Thunder Coalition are hosting a Student Support Drive on April 12-16. We will be collecting donations of nonperishable food items (canned goods, pasta, rice, etc.), gently-used clothing items, hygiene products, and school supplies. You can drop off your donations anytime from April 12-16 in one of these convenient locations: the atrium of the library, the lobby of the MAX, the new mailroom (basement of Sanford Hall), or the SGA office (first floor of the Student Activities ...

REMINDER: Jazz Band Concert: "7 ATE 9"

Thursday and Friday, April 8-9 Georgia College’s Jazz Band will perform its spring concert, “7 ate 9,” virtually at 7:30 p.m. on April 8 and 9. This year’s program is melodic and upbeat, showcasing music from a variety of eras. These include hard bop, Latin, contemporary and the blues. With a focus on creative improvisation, the band will groove through nine charts with old favorites and some new, less familiar songs.
