TRS: Reminder, Beneficiary Designation

For those of you enrolled in TRS, have you designated a TRS beneficiary? Have you checked yours lately to see if it’s up-to-date?  Be sure you’re leaving any remaining benefits to the right people.

As required by Georgia law, TRS must pay remaining benefits at the time you pass away based on the latest designation in your TRS file. Wills, marriage licenses, divorce decrees, life insurance policies or other documents cannot be used to determine your beneficiary, so be sure you’ve made your TRS designation. It’s easy – register or log in to your TRS account at www.trsga.com to do it now!

*If you experience issues logging in to your TRSGA account, please call the TRS Call Center at (404) 352-6500; the Office of Human Resources does not have access to this information and is unable to assist with this.

REMINDER: Adding DUO on single sign-on systems

Please note that all USG institutions, including Georgia College and State University, are adding multi-factor authentication to the systems where we are using single sign-on to increase the security around our campus environments. Soon we'll also be required to go through DUO authentication at every place where we're using our Unify credentials to log in.  Most will not notice the change, except that where we require user name and password will now also prompt for DUO authentication. Over the summer we'll be adding DUO into the login sequence of many systems that you're familiar with, including:
