Liberty Street Parking Lot #44 will be closed August 5. 

Peabody Lot #12 will close at 3 p.m. August 5.  At that time all vehicles will need to be moved.

Both lots will reopen at 8 p.m.

Please join us for the Inauguration of President Cathy Cox, 12th President of Georgia College & State University, on Friday, August 19th at 3:00 p.m. in the Centennial Center. There will be a dessert reception following the ceremony. 

At 5:30pm, Georgia College will host a Campus and Community BBQ on Front Campus. There will be live music from High Speed Dream and Highway 49. All are welcome!

Georgia College’s Writing Center is dedicated to assisting undergraduate and graduate writers across all disciplines. Writing consultants (grad & undergrad tutors) offer feedback and strategies to help students improve not only their current projects but also their writing in general. We believe that all writers can benefit from sharing work with attentive readers who are dedicated to helping writers meet their goals.

Does your department or office need assistance with communication, promotion or publicity?  A Mass Comm practicum student could help. Students in MSCM 2930 can assist on-campus departments and offices with a range of communication projects including: graphic design, short-form videography, digital media management including website content and social media channels, copy writing for blogs and press releases and much more.  (Please remember that communication products must be approved by University Communications prior to distribution.)

Mass Comm practicum students complete 50 hours for a 1.0 course credit. All practicums must be completed on campus and supervised by a Georgia College faculty or staff member. Spring practicum requests are due by COB Wednesday August 10 2022.

Together with the Georgia Lottery Corporation, the University System of Georgia is inviting all USG employees for a special night of Atlanta Braves baseball on Sept. 3, 2022.  

Tickets for the game are a discounted $33 per person, and you can purchase them as well as parking for an additional charge at the University System of Georgia Night at the Braves website. The deadline to purchase is Saturday, Aug. 20, at 11:59 p.m., and the tickets are subject to availability.
