We're so excited to see new and old faces as we gather for a warm Shabbat meal and meaningful Jewish connection.Shabbat Dinner will be at 6:30pm, Friday, August 19 with blessings over the bread, wine, and candles shortly beforehand. Dinner is at the Hillel House, 321 N Clark St.

This challenge started on August 15 at 12 a.m. and ends on September 25 at 11:59 p.m. Connect an activity tracker to your app to make it easier to track and get credit for all your hard-earned steps. If you don't have access to an activity tracker you can also use an app on your smartphone or manually enter your steps.
- You can join your team throughout the challenge, but be sure to stick around to the end! If you drop out, you won't be able to re-join the fun.
- Join or create a walking group within your department or with friends.
- Post in the chat to rally your teammates!

READ MORE Rescheduled: Block Party/Bobcat MarketplaceAre you excited to meet the incoming class and share information about your organization or your department? You have an opportunity to do so at the rescheduled Block Party and Bobcat Marketplace! The event will be held from 7-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24. Marketplace Check-in will start at 6 p.m. Please plan for representatives of your organization to stay until the end. Each organization will be limited to only 2 representatives. The Marketplace will be held along Greene Street in front of the residence halls.
Please be aware that NO electricity will be provided. Organizations are encouraged to only bring electronics that have the capability of being powered off batteries. We DO NOT provide tablecloths; you are encouraged to bring your own table coverings and decor to highlight your organization.... Georgia College plays an important role as a member institution in this statewide consortium supporting excellent undergraduate research and creative endeavors. Students from all departments are invited to submit oral, poster, performance, visual, or full panel presentations for consideration.
MURACE is able to support a delegation from GCSU this fall for students whose abstracts are accepted.
This is an excellent opportunity for students completing capstones in Fall 2022 to present their hard work at a statewide conference!
The abstract submission portal is now taking submissions through September 19th.

READ MORE REMINDER: Georgia College & State University invites you to the Inauguration of President Cathy Cox – August 19thPlease join us for the Inauguration of President Cathy Cox, 12th President of Georgia College & State University, on Friday, August 19th at 3:00 p.m. in the Centennial Center. There will be a dessert reception following the ceremony.
Shuttles will run from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. from the Clarke St., Montgomery St. and Wilkinson St. stops directly to Centennial Center, and then again after the ceremony.
At 5:30 p.m., Georgia College will host a Campus and Community BBQ on Front Campus. There will be live music from High Speed Dream and Highway 49.
All are welcome to send a congratulatory message to President Cox before the ceremony. Please see the Inauguration website for more details.

If you are looking for experience in a public school setting, experience with a non-profit organization, or just a place to give back to the community, CIS is the place to be. We also offer student internships and student practicum positions as well as opportunities to fulfill class or student organization requirements.
Volunteers will be partnered with our staff in a local school to tutor students grades K-12 in the Baldwin County School District. CIS provides numerous support services and resources for the underserved students in our community. Our mission is to surround students with a community of support empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life, and you have the chance to play a key role in making this happen!
