Survey about COVID-19 Vaccine

You received an email yesterday from Dr. Shawn Brooks, vice president for Student Life, requesting your response to this voluntary and anonymous survey about the COVID-19 vaccine. The purpose of this survey is to determine interest in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and to better understand challenges that may be preventing students from receiving the vaccine as well as potential desire to receive the vaccine at a state college or university near your summer residence.

Your participation is voluntary and anonymous and the survey will neither collect personally identifiable information nor be related in any way to your health and/or student records at your institution. We will use the aggregated responses to determine the demand for the vaccine at University System of Georgia (USG) vaccine sites across Georgia, to increase options students can ...

Moving forward, requests will be DENIED if they are missing any information.

  • Requests MUST contain the following information.
    • Location and head count
    • A minimum of two different contacts. If a contact name is not in the dropdown menu, the name, email address, and a phone number must be added to the comments.
    • A description of the event in the comment section, including resources needed (tables, chairs, trash can, electricity, etc.)
      • Example: This meeting is for the search committee for the VP of Scholars. We will need a trash can.
    • Resources must be added to the Resource section. If they are not requested, they will not be available at the event.
      • Moving is for tables and chairs
      • AV- Most rooms are already set up for AV. If you need assistance, choose AV Technical Coordination Training.
      • Facilities-custodial, electrical, trash disposal

Princeton Review names Georgia College a 'Best Online Nursing School Master's Program'

The Princeton Review has recognized Georgia College on its national "Best Online Nursing School Master's Programs" list. 

Our programs were one of only five in Georgia recognized by the publication.

According to the website, "Online Nursing School Master's programs have become as rigorous as their on-campus counterparts. For many nursing graduate school candidates, an online degree might even be the smarter choice."

REMINDER: Don't End the Semester Without Thinking About Submitting Abstracts to the GURC

The Georgia Undergraduate Research Collective (GURC) will be accepting abstract submissions when the fall semester begins in August and will close the submissions by Mid-September. THEREFORE, now is a great time to start preparing to submit! The GURC Conference will be November 4-5, 2021 either virtual or at the University of West Georgia. If an abstract is accepted for presentation, students will be eligible to file for reimbursement with MURACE. Please visit gcsu.edu/murace for details on reimbursement requirements! Let's fill the GURC Conference with our great GCSU undergraduate researchers!
