READ MORE GOHS Highway Safety grant awardedGeorgia College is proud to announce the receipt of a $10,000 grant to participate in the Georgia Young Adult Program of the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. The GOHS Young Adult Program addresses young adult driver crashes, injuries and fatalities and partners with colleges and universities throughout the state to implement the GYAP. This program has proven to be successful using strategies such as peer education, providing educational speakers to schools, and encouraging schools to develop creative, innovative techniques to reduce young adult crashes, injuries and fatalities in their communities.
The GYAP program at Georgia College coordinates events such as ThinkFast trivia, highway safety days, alcohol prevention programs and DUI prevention.

READ MORE REMINDER: Interested in social justice, mass incarceration or justice impacted individuals? Let’s go to prison! Inside Out is back!The Inside Out class is back this Fall. Inside Out is a semester long course held at Riverbend Correctional facility on Tuesday evenings. This class brings together campus-based students with incarcerated students for engaged and informed dialogue allowing transformative learning experiences addressing crime, justice and other issues of social concern.
The course counts as an upper level elective (4950), and all majors are welcome. If you are interested in social justice, mass incarceration or justice impacted individuals, this is the class for you.
