Class of 2026: First-year student finds right fit at Georgia College

Boil Water Advisory Affects Several Buildings on Georgia College CampusA water main break near the intersection of South Columbia and West Greene streets has affected water service for several buildings on campus.
Georgia College Facilities Management has confirmed that the following buildings are without water service:
- Mayfair Hall
- Humber-White House
- Harrison House
- Underwood House
These buildings will remain without water service until the City of Milledgeville completes repairs to the water main. Once water service is restored, the buildings will be under a boil water advisory until the water supply can be tested for contaminants and water department officials certify it’s safe to drink. READ MORE Georgia College Leadership Programs to Host the Inaugural TEDxGeorgiaCollegeIn partnership with TED, Georgia College’s Leadership Programs are bringing TEDx to Georgia College and to Milledgeville. The inaugural TEDxGeorgiaCollege will be hosted Friday, October 21st, in the historic Campus Theatre in downtown Milledgeville.
TEDxGeorgiaCollege will feature eight to ten speakers and performers who will deliver talks on the latest ideas and research, all in the spirit of TED’s commitment to “Ideas Worth Spreading.” Each talk will be broadcast internationally and shared through TED’s global network, showcasing for the international TED community the unique voices, stories, and ideas that make Georgia College special.
This inaugural TEDx event will explore the theme “Power of the Public Square.”

READ MORE Updated Mileage RatesThe state has announced an increase in the mileage reimbursement rate for T-1 travel. Any travel occurring on or after 7/1/2022 will be reimbursed at the rate of $.625/mile for T-1 travel via automobile. T-2 automobile travel reimbursement remains at $.18/mile. If part of your trip occurs before 7/1/2022, that part will still be reimbursed at $.585/mile. Please see the attachment explaining in detail when the T-1 reimbursement is used.
