Jazz Band/Combo Auditions

The Department of Music is holding auditions for the jazz program on Tuesday, August 16 at 7:00pm in the McComb building across from Jimmy Johns. These auditions are for anyone interested in playing in jazz band or a jazz combo this academic year (fall and/or spring). The auditions will be in a group setting (music is attached), so you don't need to sign up for a time, just show up and start warming up. Please note that anyone can register for the improvisation class, so this does not require an audition.

Just to prepare you for the commitment, the jazz band meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 11-12:15 and the jazz combos meet on Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings depending on scheduling so you will need the appropriate hole(s) in your schedule this fall, next spring, or both.

Lastly, for those of you that are new to campus or the jazz program, I want to let you know that the jazz program will be offering a study abroad ...
