Georgia College faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend the presentation and open forum for the first candidate for the vice president for University Advancement, Walter Williams, on Tues., Jan. 5, from 3:15 pm - 4:00 pm. The candidate will speak for 20-25 minutes on the topic: "Leading an advancement team in today’s  higher education environment with diversity, equity, and inclusion in mind." Following the presentation, the candidate will respond to questions from the audience.

On January 5, 2021, Georgia College, in partnership with MedLake Laboratories, will offer a Covid-19 Testing Clinic for Faculty & Staff members. If you believe you have been exposed or want confirmation that you are negative before you immerse yourself into your work environment and students return to campus, we will have trained professionals on site to administer the test at no charge to you.

*This is NOT a vaccine clinic; this is an opportunity for faculty and staff to take a Covid-19 test if they choose to do so.*

Based on a partial phone outage scheduled for Wednesday, January 6th, the Office of Human Resources announces a temporary modification to the Decision Path for Employees and COVID-19 Response.

Supervisors: Instead of calling Amber Collins via phone if an employee notifies you that they are symptomatic and/or have been exposed to a positive case, please send an email to employeerelations@gcsu.edu and provide the employee's name and a good contact number. We will retain a list of all employees who need to be contacted and begin our outreach via phone as soon as we have confirmation that the partial phone outage has ended.
