READ MORE Roger Folsom appointed to Georgia Board of Community Health by GovernorGeorgia College Leadership Advisory Board member Roger Folsom has been re-appointed to the Georgia Board of Community Health. Governor Brian Kemp issued the executive order on November 4th, and the Office of the Governor announced the new appointment on November 13th, following the board’s most recent meeting.
Folsom will continue his service as vice-chairman of the board. His term expires in November 2023.
“I congratulate Mr. Folsom on his appointment, and I look forward to our continued work together on the Leadership Advisory Board and in service to our Georgia College students,” said Dr. Harold Mock, director of leadership programs. “Governor Kemp recognizes Roger’s many distinguished qualities and clearly knows how much the people of our state rely on his expertise and leadership.”

READ MORE Parking Advisory: Winter Break Parking Schedule and Shuttle ServicePlease be advised the university follows an intersession parking schedule when class is not in session and the campus is still open for business.
For Winter Break, this includes now until Dec 24, and Jan. 4-15. During these times, resident and commuter-designated lots will be open to all valid university permit holders during regular enforcement hours, Mon-Fri, 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. However, employee-designated lots will only be open to those with a valid employee permit. For more information on permit types and lot locations and designations, visit www.gcsu.edu/parking. The university will return to a regular parking schedule Jan. 19.
Also, there is no shuttle service during Winter Break. The Spring 2021 shuttle schedule will begin Jan. 18.

READ MORE REMINDER: International Photo Contest 2020-2021: Stepping Out of Your Comfort ZoneThe International Education Center is excited to announce the theme for this year's International Photo Contest: Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone. The contest runs Dec. 1 - 23, and winners will be announced during the International Opportunities Virtual Fair on Jan. 12, 2021. There will be prizes!
- Submission start date: Dec. 1.
- Deadline: Dec. 23, 2020
- Each contestant must be a Georgia College student.
- The contestant must have taken the photo(s).
- Amateur photographers only - no professionals
- Photographs can be of people, animals, surroundings, landscapes, places, etc. – anything that relates to the theme. The photo does not have to be from an international location.
- Photos can be made with any device: phone, point and shoot, digital cameras, or drones.
- Students may submit one to five photos.
- File size cannot exceed 10 MB per photo.
- Voting will be done online. Tell your friends!
