Careers in the U.S. State Department Talk

Careers in the U.S. State Department Talk

Are you interested in learning about opportunities to work or intern with the U.S. State Department - or with other arms of the federal government? (Or are you just interested in learning about career opportunities that will take you overseas?)

On March 7, Vallera Gibson, a Georgia College alum and retired U.S. Foreign Service Officer, will be visiting campus to speak with students about career opportunities with the U.S. State Department. The State Department hires a wide range of individuals, from "generalists" who serve as diplomats to lawyers who represent the U.S. government overseas to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers to information technology specialists who work in the U.S. and abroad. For some of these careers, the U.S. federal government even funds graduate degrees!

Join us at 2PM in Peabody Auditorium for a reception to learn more about about these opportunities. Light refreshments will be provided.

Can't make this talk? Ms. Gibson will also be speaking at 3:30 PM in Atkinson 202.
