Nonprofit Leadership Student Association Assists with Local Project

GCSU students have been working with Life Enrichment Center on various aspects of development of their new Urban Arts Village. Recently, these students were featured in a news story covering the project. Read the story "LEC continues development for Urban Arts Village" on the Baldwin Bulletin website.

The article features political science and public health double major, Justin Harned, who serves as president of the GCSU Nonprofit Leadership Student Association. Dr. Kelley Ditzel, director of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance undergraduate certificate commented, "Students worked with Life Enrichment Center to create an implementation plan for the newly operating 'Coffee for a Cause' Coffee Truck and are now writing a grant proposal for funding to support the Village Arts Center. This nonprofit partnership enables students to apply learning real-time and increases the capacity of an incredible nonprofit organization serving adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Baldwin County. This exemplifies the tangible, hard and soft, skills students gain as part of the Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) Certificate Program here at Georgia College."
