Life After the BA: Strategies for Professional and Personal Development with Guest Speaker Sophia Daniel, BA in Art, Georgia College, 2020

GC Department of Art alumnus Sophia Daniel will be speaking via Zoom on Thursday, March 23, from 5:30-6:30 PM. Please join as she shares her insights on creating a career in the arts.  Sophia earned her BA in Art from Georgia College and State University in Spring 2020. Her undergraduate studies were focused on museum studies, chemistry, theater, and art. Sophia’s undergraduate Capstone thesis project was a co-curated exhibition and fashion show titled Unhindered Spirit: Embracing Imperfection, featuring the wearable artwork of artist Judy Bales. During her undergraduate studies, she interned at the Johnston-Felton-Hay House assisting in collections research. Sophia has recently completed her MA in Fashion and Textiles Studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, specializing in the conservation of costume and textiles. Sophia currently holds the position of Senior Conservator at J. Scheer and Co. in upstate New York.
