Call for Proposals to Present at Annual Governor's Summit

The Sandra Dunagan Deal Center for Early Language & Literacy is collecting submissions for presentations and round-table discussions for our Annual Governor’s Summit. Submissions are due by April 16, 2023, and selected presenters will be notified by May 5, 2023. We extend this invitation to you to submit your own proposal or share with your contacts and associates. Please consider sharing on websites and social media.

This year's submission topics include: 

(1) Implementation of Evidence-based Practices in Early Language & Literacy 

            Description: Ways in which you or your organization have implemented evidence-based practices in early language and literacy that lead to community impact.

(2) Community Engagement & Supports

            Description: Ways in which you or your organization have collaborated with other entities or communities to advance early language and literacy capacity building, best practices or other related work in the field. 

(3) Fund Development Strategies & Supports.

            Description: Ways in which you or your organization have leveraged creative mechanisms for fund development via public/private partnerships, grant-seeking, grant-making, entrepreneurial programmatic revenue streams or other creative strategies. 

Presenters may submit a proposal with focus areas in up to two different categories per proposal submission and may present in either a presentation or round table discussion format. Sessions will be 45 minutes. Submissions that include cross-sector partnerships and/or have demonstrated broad impact in the field will be favored.
