Digital Humanities Award Winner Throws First Pitch

Digital Humanities student Ally Baker (History major, Theatre minor) was selected to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Bobcats softball game against the University of North Georgia on Saturday, April 15. The Georgia College Department of Athletics honored Ally for winning the first place award for digital humanities research presented in a poster at Research Day on March 29. At the conference, Ally presented research on her data visualization about the Northern Renaissance artist, Jan van Eyck. This may be the first-ever news announcement about softball and Jan van Eyck!
