The School of Continuing & Professional Studies invites you to participate in the Leadership & Management Academy this summer July 10 - 13. This in-person, four-day workshop engages new and emerging leaders in the fundamentals of leadership, business practices and people management. Each participant will receive a certificate of completion and 3.0 CEUs (continuing education units).
The Leadership & Management Essentials for Government Employees program (Leadership & Management Academy) was designed by Georgia College & State University faculty, staff and an alumna who is now a city HR Director in Georgia. She stressed the need to provide training that would help her team lead and manage the city in a businesslike manner.
The program is made up of four courses, each course lasting 6-7 hours each day, that will train employees how to lead using coaching styles, communicate effectively, plan for budget decision-making and requests and provide strategies for performance evaluations and conflict resolution.
