Connecting, Growing, Thriving: Writing Center Director Attended 2023 IWCA Summer Institute at University of Montana

The International Writing Centers Association (IWCA) Summer Institute is the premier professional development site for emerging and established writing center professionals. This immersive event created a unique opportunity for the Georgia College & State University community to ensure that the center remains on the cutting edge of writing and tutoring education. Leaders in the field—including IWCA Executive Board Members and published scholars on tutor professional achievement after graduating—invigorated and inspired participants through presentations, workshops, mentoring and networking in Missoula, Montana, June 26 - June 30. Dr. Joy Bracewell’s attendance underscores the center’s dedication to staying at the forefront of the writing center community and continuing to enhance its services.
